Kairali of Baltimore will be organizing a one-day free educational workshop on various topics - Auto/Home Insurance, Home Mortgage, Taxation, Living Will, Social Security, Medicare Benefits and Financial Planning for Retirement. Many of our community members are unaware about the rules and privileges that we are eligible with regards to the above mentioned topics. We will have prominent speakers on each topic to handle the educational workshop. You all are welcome to attend the class and avail more knowledge about the above topics.

Family Camping Trip - Poconos, PA
Kairali of Baltimore's Youth Committee organized a family camping trip to Poconos, PA. Youth Committee chair, Nadia Nazar along with Kairali President Saju Markose, Sabeena Nazar and Thomas Jose helped out in organizing this trip. Several Kairali families joined in this fun filled trip on May 28th & 29th, 2016. Everybody had so much fun in camping at the beautiful wooded area and engaged in all different activities like volleyball, basketball, DJ dancing, various games and camp fire with s'mores. Everyone joined an adventurous white water rafting in the Lehigh river.
Volunteering at Soup Kitchen
Kairali of Baltimore Women's forum has organized a volunteer visit on May 30, 2016 to Our Daily Bread (Soup Kitchen) which is a shelter for homeless people. 11 members volunteered at the facility. Kairali Volunteers served lunch and clean up after lunch along with other volunteers for 685 people. It was a good experience for the volunteers. To all the volunteers, your hard work and time is greatly appreciated. May GOD bless us all.
May 7th, 2016 was a landmark moment for Indian American nurses in the state of Maryland. Nurses and nursing students with Indian heritage came together to celebrate Nurses' Week. Under the leadership of Dr. Alphonsa Rahman, the first meeting of the Indian American Nurses Association of Maryland (IANAM) was kicked off. The following were elected for a two year term to the executive board: Dr. Alphonsa Rahman (President), Lincy Koodaly (Vice President), Dr. Sheeba Paranilam (Secretary), Ammini Ninan (Joint Secretary), Chinnu Abraham (Treasurer), Aleese Francis (Joint Treasurer), Solly Abraham (Membership Chair), Surya Chacko (Program Coordinator), Eldo Chacko (Event Manager), Vijaya Ramakrishnan (Professional Development), Ashley James (Communications), and Media/Technology (Balasubramanium Kulandaivel). IANAM is a non-profit organization serving as a resource for professional development, mentoring, and networking for Indian American nurses and nursing students.
